Stop Negative Thinking

“What the mind of man can conceive and believe, It can achieve.”

This is a quote by Napoleon Hill, author of “Think and Grow Rich” one of the great classics of the 20th century.

What does this quote actually allude to though?

Wise men, prophets and great teachers have been saying it for centuries and more and more people to day are beginning to realize that what you hold in your mind most is what you become.

Think about it! Do you wonder why crappy things keep happening in your life? Are you one of those people who are always thinking how bad life has treated you?

Maybe the bad things are happening in your life because that is what you hold most in your mind. You are waiting for the next bad thing to come along and so it inevitably does come to pass.

You need to learn to let go of this negativity because it is basically shaping your life. You ARE what you think. In fact, if you are thinking negatively, you are affecting everyone around you without even saying a word.

Do you idetify this in your life? Do you ever walk into a room and you could cut the atmosphere with a knife. What you feel is the negative energy.

Who Was Jesus?

Who Was Jesus?

It’s good firday and a fitting time to be writing a blog post on Jesus of Nazareth.

Who was he? From where I’m looking he was a great teacher and spiritual healer. He was not the ONLY son of God. That was a term that he probably didn’t even use himself.

When the church fathers made him into THE God, they tagged him with the term Son of God.

Jesus was no different to Buddha or Krishna. He found the indwelling spirit within himself and became one with it. The ability to do this is available to us all and Jesus spoke of it himself:

“Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and Greater Works than These will he do…”

Also:

“The Kingdom (of Heaven) is inside you and it is outside you. Split a piece of wood, and I am there, Lift up the stone and there you will find me”

The latter quote is from the Gospel of Thomas. The gospel of Thomas, which is thought to be the earliest written testimony of the sayings of Jesus was not included in the eventual new testament. Why not? Ask yourself this. What else was left out? What was added on?

Did Jesus perform the miracles attributed to him? Who knows? The new testament was written 50-80 years after Jesus lived. Human nature being as it is could have added many of it’s own interpretations and exaggerations on to the story.

To blindly believe all this stuff is not the way to go. We should at least question whether the ideas and beliefs forced upon us are actually true.

The fact is - You only believe that which you hold dear because you have been conditioned to believe it. Your beliefs have been ingrained in you since you have been a small child.

The real TRUTH is much deeper. The only place to find this truth is to look inside yourself. Don’t rely on any God whether it be Jesus or Buddha or Mohammed to do it for you.
